Description |
Bigler home at the Hampton's Ford was once the Bear River Hotel (near the state staion), located north and west of Collinston and built in the 1860s. Collinston was originally called Hampton or Hampton Ford for Ben Hampton who run a toll ferry across the Bear River. Hampton was later named Collinston in honor of Collins Fulmer, a favorite conductor on the Utah Northern Railroad. |
