Description |
"In the time of COVID I think of an ever changing and unpredictable world. I think of Zoom calls and working from home on the couch. I think of not being able to go to the office, concerts, birthday parties, festivals, museums or restaurants. I remember the world closing down and then all of sudden record breaking earthquakes! It was time to leave the city and retreat to the family cabin in the wilderness. I remember coming back to "society" after weeks of snow and no human contact other than our small family group. Being paranoid to go out or touch anyone and then retreating to garden projects, baking and baby chickens. As a couple we created different routines. Evening walks, listening to podcasts and daily observations of the squirrels and neighbors. When I think of COVID I think of chaos and uncertainty but I also think of returning to the simpler things in life." |
