Description |
This special for the annual Days of '47 Rodeo features rodeo headliner Dottie West as co-host and she sings her song "Country Sunshine". Utah Opera Company's Noelle Twitchel, David Arnold, Kristen Hearst Hyde, Laura Garff, and Billie Lucas sing a quintet from Georges Bizet's Carmen. This is followed by rope trick artist Francisco Zamora, then Glade Peterson singing "E Lucevan Le Stelle" from Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca accompanied by Claudia Ward on piano. Alvino Rey plays "Maple Leaf Rag" on banjo. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints President Spencer W. Kimball gives a special address. Dottie West closes the show by singing "An American Trilogy"by Elvis Presley. |
