Farmington is 'nestled at the foot of Utah's Wasatch Mountains. on a narrow strip of land just east of Great Salt Lake. It is centrally located between two large metropolitan areas of 'northern Utah. about nineteen miles from Ogden and sixteen miles from Salt Lake City. Farmington lies mid-way beween the north and south boundaries of Davis County, which it serves as county seat. The southeast corner of Main and State streets has been measured at 4.302 feet above Sea level and lies six miles east of the intersection of the 41st north latitude and 112th west longitude. The Salt Lake Base Meridian. extending north from South Temple and Main streets in the capital city. lies along Second West in Farmington. |
