Duward and Esthe Campbell are photographed on horses..Duward is on Esther's new horse Columbine. Duward was born to Ernest and Pearl Campbell in 1902. He lived on the Ute Reservation near Neola when he was a young school boy. He went to school in Texas when he was older. He met and married Esther Anderson in 1923. He died in 1974. Esther Campbell began teaching in one room schools for Moffat County in 1922, including very remote areas. She was friends with Josie Bassett Morris and was considered a "Living Resource". Miss Esther, as she was referred to, died May 7, 1995 at age 95. |
