Description |
View of horses through the wooded fence at the Western Experience. The Western Experience was created at the Soldier Hollow spectator plaza to give visitors activities to do between competitions. The Western Experience included music and entertainment, a mountain rendezvous, pioneer reenactments, cowboy camps, wild mustang exhibit and American Indian displays, along with concession stands. The Salt Lake Olympic Committee (SLOC) donated tickets for educational purposes to schools through the area. SLOC wanted everyone to have the opportunity to attend Olympic/Paralympic events. Donating tickets to schools offered the opportunity to many children who otherwise would not have been able to attend Olympic events. Chris and Katie Mansfield attend Twin Peaks Elementary School were awarded tickets to some Olympic/Paralympic events. Katie attended the Olympic Nordic Combined at Soldier Hollow, 22 February 2002. |
