Show Reception hall on a stairway landing. The windows and doors of the entrance are visible on the opposite wall below and beyond the stairs. A rug covers the wood floor. To the left there are two rocking chairs by a book laden table with a plant on it, and behind that, a heater. Before the balcony, there are two more chairs and a plant on a stand. On the wall above them, there is a painting of a mountain. There are either three pictures or three windows on the left well of the stairway. |

Originally mounted with scotch tape, now with glue, on sturdy paper. There are no margins, but "Reception Hall" is written at the bottom center in white pen. On the back, there is a stamp from "The Salt Lake Collegiate Institute", black ink reading "Reception Hall" and "916 1 W", and, written in pencil, "Westminster College". This photograph is inside the second building erected specifically for the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute in 1894. The Salt Lake Collegiate Institute was the forerunner of Westminster College.
