Description |
West end of Delta, corner of Main (Clark Street) at 3rd West, looking north. This building burned down in 1918. Other buildings in the background include, Ward Livery Stable, Freight Depot, Union Pacific Depot, and sugar factory. Settled in 1906, and first called Akin, then Burtner, Melville, and finally Delta, the area owes such of its growth to several irrigation projects and a successful land development campaign. |
