Abstract |
This report is consisted of three parts: the study of chemical reactions of iron compounds in the coal combustion, solutions for the reduction of iron accumulation on the furnace floor and instruments for the detection of the problem. It is found that most iron compounds remain in their original form without taking chemical reactions. Two possible ways can be used to solve the problem. One way is to burn pyrites so that they will become flying ashes. Another way is to melt the slag completely. Details of the methods are given in the report. In the study of instruments, an infrared gas analyzer is proposed for the detection of gas composition, a tungsten-tungsten rhenium thermocouple for the temperature measurement and a modified transformer for the detection of iron accumulation. |
