In 1924 John Jorgensen acquired the Commercial Hotel building located about 60 West Main Street. The structure housed the Golden Rule Store and the Chevrolet agency on the gound floor. The Commercial Club and a dance hall were located on the upper floor. In 1938 twenty tourist cabins (rooms) were constructed, each with a private bath. The building was tore down in 1974 and the Sage Motel and Cafe was built. |
