Description |
Carotid dural branch to cavernous sinus fistula is an artery to vein shunt that usually arises spontaneously in elderly persons. The volume of flow is small as compared with direct carotid artery to cavernous sinus fistulas, which are most often. traumatic in origin. The ocular consequences of the spontaneous dural branch fistulas are generally mild and self limiting. |
