Description Scans of letters sent to Marriner S. Eccles, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, following his speech for the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Banking, in New York City, December 1, 1938, and replies from Eccles or his office. Many of the letters, dating from December of 1938 through January of 1939, were in response to the substance of the speech, and in his replies Eccles would sometimes respond to the comments and elaborate on the subject. Also included is a copy of a letter from George Levey to Orval W. Adams, and two letters to Lewis Haney-copies that Levey sent to Eccles.
