| Description |
The Statue's original torch was removed on July 4, 1984 in a ceremony on Liberty Island. Transported to Pasadena, CA for the Tournament of Roses Parade, it marked the first time since the Statue's dedication in 1886 that any part of the Statue had been outside of its location in New York Harbor. A new torch is under construction as part of the restoration project. Tony Russo--Donor. |
