The building of the new Gibson's Discount Center is located on West U.S. Highway 40, in Vernal. The parking lot in front of the building was able to accommodate over 600 vehicles. August 17, 1974 was the opening day. Ken Huber was the owner of the Vernal Gibson center. He is now the owner of four Gibson's centers in Utah. Most of the employees at this new center were local workers. |
