Brown's Park, Utah and Colorado -- Rivers; Ferries |
Description |
Seven men standing on the Brown's Park Ferry. At far left is Herman Wagner, longtime government trapper and trapper for Goetch ranches. Far right is Teddy McKowen. The ferry was built by Frank Meyers and was used for years at the Colorado-Utah state line. In 1929 the ferry was moved to the bridge, and was used to help build the bridge. It was apparently taken about ten miles down the river, where it was sunk in the mud. This information came from Hugh Crouse. |
