The prospector holds a pick axe, and looks over his shoulder. A ground-tied donkey has a saw buck saddle loaded with camp supplies. Portrait of Major Thomas T. Thornburgh, he has muttonchop whiskers, a moustache and wears a military coat with shoulder boards. |
