Description The establishment of the Memorial Rose Garden was approved and permission given in May of 1947 by the county commissioners to plant the garden on the county courthouse block. The rose garden will be a memorial to WWII Soldiers from the county who lost their lives in action. The plot of ground will hold the attractive rose garden with up to 600 rose bushes. By 1957 the Garden had turned to weeds.
