Douglas for an analysis and opinion on the fiscal, monetary and debt management policies followed by the new Eisenhower administration and by the Federal Reserve Board. Most of the letters were to thank Eccles for receiving copies of the statement, while others were requests for copies and some were follow-up letters from Eccles. Includes a copy of a lengthy letter dated 31 August 1953 from Allan Sproul, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, to Senator Douglas with his comments on the Eccles statement.
