Description |
Old Air Force airplane used in playground in Murray Park. The plane is a T33, a training version of the F80 Shooting Star. It was given to the City by the Air Force through the efforts of L. Clark Cushing, Park Commissioner. It was flown from Hamilton Air Force Base in California to Hill Air Force Base where it was disassembled and turned over to the City. It was hauled to Murray on a Utah National Guard truck transport with Murray police and Utah Highway Patrol providing escort. |
