Field notes: 1k tone @ beginning = 64dBA at mic input (for calibration) Late spring. Weather conditions extreme during any hour (cold, windy, snow, rain, warm). Former hunting camp where wildlife generally shy of humans. No predators or large megafauna seen over 10 day period on site. Very light bird density. Distant wandering tattler at 11:40. Wind up 29:00 - 47:00 quite high. Tree sparrow at 12:00 (approx). Myrtle warbler @ 13:00 (approx). Yellowlegs @ approx 18:00 (dist)… Season: Spring; Climate: Dry (cyclical); Weather: Heavy wind (10+ MPH); Temp.: 50.4F; Altitude: 2997 feet; Biome: Arctic; Terrestrial habitat: Boreal-tiaga-tundra; Species heard: Wandering Tattler; American Robin; White-crowned Sparrow; Tree Sparrow; Myrtle Warbler (yellow-rumped); Lesser Yellowlegs; Local time: 11:02AM |
