Additional Information Image was scanned from color slide. Note: Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement which emphasizes shape, line and form as well as a minimalist style. While there are numerous schools of Ikebana, the three main schools are: Ikenobo, Ohara and Sogetsu. The Sogetsu school was founded 1927 by Sofu Teshigahara.--Wikipedia. Note: Jōmon means 'cord pattern' and the term describes the characteristic surface patterns that were made with a twisted cord.--The British Museum website.
