Diary kept by Earl Douglass during the year 1888. He boarded with the Battins in Iroquois, Dakota Territory, attended spring term at the University of South Dakota, was a book salesman during the summer and fall, and taught school the latter part of the year. He began his studies in botany and geology that laid the foundation for his career as a paleontologist. |
