Social Work; Risk Assessment
Description
Virtual Home Simulator is an e-training and simulation game for social work students. The game utilizes 360 degree photos in virtual reality. Students will be able to practice assessment skills in a home visit scenario and must take photos of items that may pose a risk to children. This week the team is working on implementing new features, such ase being able to explore different rooms in a level. We have also been at work designing new user interface elements that give the appearance of controlling the viewfinder of a camera. Goals: Explore each room in the house for risks; Note each risk by clicking on a suspicious object; Once the user is confident that everything has been documented they may end the simulation; The tool then reveals which risks were found and missed during the simulation.
