Description We discovered patients referred to our neuro-ophthalmology clinic with hydroxychloroquine associated vision loss who had abnormal reduction of total retinal thickness in the macular OCT scan compared to age matched normal subjects. We reviewed all cases with hydroxychloroquine associated visual loss seen in our clinic who also had macular OCT to delineate the occurrence of retinal thinning, correlate it with dosage and abnormalities of other tests of visual function as well as eventual outcome.
