Description Vision loss and cerebrovascular accidents often complicate giant cell arteritis. Antiplatelet therapy and anticoagulation reduce the risk of certain kinds of stroke but may increase bleeding complications. We sought to determine whether these therapies affect the ischemic events or bleeding complications in patients with giant cell arteritis.
