Teren Jameson led the men's team finishing first (23:54) for the fourth time this year. Colby Frazier finished seventh (24:37) followed by Nephi Tyler at15th (25:04) Lion Gallegos at 19th (25:09) and BJ Christensen placing 21st (25:18). Elise Greenwood was the first Utah runner to cross the finish line for the women's team placing 20th (22:39) followed by Trina Bateman at 23rd (22:50), Tara Hall at 27th (23:06) and Julie Osguthorpe finishing 29th (23:08). Teren Jameson and Colby Frazier were named to the 2001 MWC Men's All-Conference First Team this year, and head coach Brian Appell receives the 2001 MWC Coach of the Year. Jameson was named the 2001 MWC Runner of the Year. |
