Paiute cradleboard is 91 cm long and 38 cm wide. Board is mde out of wood,and cloth is wrapped around board and laced on with leather strips. leather piece is sewn onto the bottom (foot end) of the cradleboard. The shade is 27 cm talland made of thin wood sticks that are weaved. The border of the shade has blue cloth sewn on around it. Across the middle section of the shade the sticks are wrapped with a single line blue, dark blue, and purple yarn in a diagonal stripe pattern that repeats 8 times and a blue border arounf the section. on both sides of the shade there is one blue and one purple pompom. |
