Elk bugles are followed by three warning barks at the end of the recording; unidentified insects are heard in the background; Recorded at approximately 7:00 PM at the Deseret Land and Livestock Company ranch in northern Utah; Skies were clear, winds calm, with temperatures below 68 degrees Fahrenheit; Elk was bugling in a clearing near a small beaver pond above a steep draw; nearby vegetation included aspen trees; GPS coordinates were N 41 degrees 19.817' W 111 degrees 21.662'; Elevation 7605 feet; Recorded using a Telinga Stereo DAT Pro 6 parabolic microphone to a Sound Devices 722 recorder at a 44.1 kHz/24 bit sampling rate
