Diffusion and Perfusion MRI and Their Clinical Applications

A plethora of new imaging techniques have become available to study physiological and biochemical aspects of the normal and pathological brain, in addition to the more traditional anatomical examinations. Not only are the physical bases of these new techniques varied, but the biological origins of their signals are varied. However, many of these new imaging studies have signals related to the physiology and biochemistry of brain bioenergetics.
