Show The concept of drawing from memory began to overlay its influence in layered multi-planed images. Our ability to remember is unique but inevitably variable in terms of content, an endless collage of images feelings, perceptions, recalled from random times, places and experiences. I began to use the idea of remembering as a starting point for images that naturally supported my interest in autobiographical collaged works of art. My memory provided an unlimited material for art making. The selection of these random thoughts activates the importance of intuition; influencing the selection of what is included ultimately as the visual object representing memories and experiences. Lateral thinking techniques have helped generate open-ended solutions to visual images that support the random nature of remembering. |
