Leading the women's team were Amanda Feigt, Vanessa Mortensen and Candice Workman-Ekberg who contributed a total of 28 of Utah's 58 points. Feigt dabbled in several events, scoring a total of 14 points. She finished third in the long jump (5.81m), fourth in the 400m-hurdles (60.84) and sixth in heptathlon. Mortensen finished second in the hammer with 56.90m, while Workman-Ekberg took third in the shot put with 14.59m. Switching to the men's side, Nephi Tyler, Vance Twitchell, Delfino Arevalo were Utah's top scorers. Together, they combine for 18 of Utah's 33 points. Arevalo finished fourth in the 5,000m (15:09.72), and sixth in the 10,000m (31:37.97). Twitchell grabbed fifth in the steeplechase (9:22.23) and eighth in the 10,000m. Tyler took fourth in the 1,500m (3:54.61). |
