Intrinsically-photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) expressing melanopsin, mediate non-visual photic responses, subserving circadian functions and pupillary reactions to light. The cerebral correlates of the retinal ipRGGs reception are not known, in healthy individuals. |
