Typography Comparisons |
Style Period |
20th Century Art; 20th Century Graphic Design |
Description |
On the left are words which are difficult to set because their letters leave awkward gaps of white when they are set against each other. On the right are words comprising letters which cause no trouble. With correct set-width and well cast characters the degree of grayness should be the same on the right and left. Composition with spacing too narrow would give an area too light on the left and too dark on the right. |
