Abstract Nutting begins the interview with his recollections of teaching a one-room rural school in southern Idaho. He also talks about coming to the University of Utah as Chairman of the Department of Elementary Education and Director of the Stewart School. Other topics include his two years in Liberia, tenure, closing the Stewart School, the faculty of the college of education, experiences in Ethiopia, and the student protest movement of the 1960s.
