Description Mexico, perhaps the most politically stable of all Latin American countries, is presently undergoing a crisis which may bring an end to this stability. Since the early 1970s, Mexico has seen both its economy start to become undermined and the political and economic factors. As the economy loses ground so does the political system. It is this combination of a weakening economy and a growing distrust in the political system which has created this crisis, one which has been called the worst since the Revolution of 1910. In order to maintain the stability of the Mexican political system, the government must find a way to gain control over this crisis situation.
