Abstract |
A number of heating methods using radiant tubes have been of t en applied in continuous annealing furnaces, which require the atmospheric control. However, the conventional radiant tubes and burners are prone to early deformation and cracks when used at high furnace temperature under high intensity combustion. And if the life of the equipment is considered, it is difficult to reduce the NOx generation in the conventional radiant tube burners. To solve this problem, we developed a new radiant tube and a burner which was considered as a single combustion system. The new heating system has following performance: The NOx level is decreased by approximately 20% compared with conventional burner. The life of the new heating system is expected to increase two times or over that of conventional system. |
