Description |
Scofield residents stand outside the district school shortly after the mining disaster. The school was one of the locations were bodies were prepared for burial. The May 1, 1900 explosion in the Winter Quarters No. 4 mine greatly affected the town of Scofield, killing many of the mine employees. |
