Additional Information Image was scanned from color slide. Note: The Japanese garden Kōraku-en is located in Okayama, Japan and is considered one of the three great gardens of Japan. In 1687, Ikeda Tsunamasa, a Japanese daimyo, ordered the construction of the garden. The garden has retained much of its original appearance with only minor changes throughout the years. In 1884, the garden was opened to the public.--Okayama Kōraku-en official website. Note: Okayama Castle, also known as "crow castle" due to its black exterior, was built in 1597. The castle is located on the Asahi River. Kōraku-en Garden is located nearby.--Japan Guide website.
