Description |
September 7th, an explosion occurred at the Chevron-King Silver-Evans well five miles west of Altamont sending flames 100 feet into the air and a massive ball of smoke. Metal shields were fabricated to pretect operators of the high vollume water spray nozzles used to cool the oil rig structure. |
