History A 42-year old female with headache and optic disc swelling after lumboperitoneal shunting.
Pathology Bilateral occipital lobe infarction
Disease/Diagnosis Subarachnoid hemorrhage with secondary vasospasm and bilateral occipital lobe infarction from rupture of a previously asymptomatic aneurysm in the setting of an acquired Chiari malformation following the shunt.
Clinical VA: 20/100 OU
Presenting Symptom Headache; Optic disc swelling
Neuroimaging CT; MRI
Treatment Fluid therapy; Angioplasty
