Show Plaque. A plaque commemorating the first Loki-Dart missile launch from the U.S. Army's Utah Launch Complex Feb. 5, 1964, is unveiled by Mayor Rey Lloyd Hatt of Green River and Lieutenant Colonel John H. Yepsen, Chief of White Sands Missile Range's Atmospheric Sciences Laboratory. Observing the action is A. Muray Maughan, director of the Green River site. The dedication ceremony was held July 2 in the City's O.K. Anderson City Park. Mayor Hatt has in his right hand, a "certificate of title" to the monument, officially presented by Colonel Yepsen in behalf of the Army. |
