Description |
Side of old Uintah County jail showing an escape hole in the brick wall. Two prisoners jailed by Sheriff Herb Snyder made a break by digging the brick out with a knife. They crossed the street, tied up Edith Shimmin and demanded her car keys. The complete story can be found in Silver Stars and Jail Bars page 52. This picture shows the hole through which they escaped. |
