| Description |
Westbound coal train of the D&RGW Railroad near Colton, Utah, on the east side of Soldier Summit. This coal is bound for the west coast via the now combined D&RGW and the Southern Pacific route. There are four high horsepower "SD" type units on the head-end, plus helper units cut about halfway back in the train. Note the third unit is a Southern Pacific locomotive. August 1991. |
