Description Neuroretinitis is often inflammatory or infectious in nature. Here, we present a case of Bartonella neuroretinitis and a typical finding of a unilateral "macular star" on color fundus photographs and OCT. The macular star usually appears 1-2 weeks after infection, and is secondary to exudates accumulating in the Henle fiber layer within the outer plexiform layer of the retina.
