Description This study of the Ants of Red Butte Canyon is an attempt to determine the forms present and their distribution in relation to the habitats found in a canyon. In carrying out this work, an endeavor has been made to record, existing associations between ants and the flora and fauna of the canyon. In addition the optimum climatic, vegetative and edaphic conditions for the forma involved, and the limiting influence of each were noted.
