UHS In Memoriam

These photographs were taken for the 1942-1943 edition of the Uintah High School Yearbook. They are located on page 4. The page is a memoriam for students who have died in the last year. The photo in the upper left corner is of Frank Butcher. He is the son of Jasper Otis and Arvilla Julina Butcher. He was born on April 27, 1925. He died at age 17 shortly after this photo was taken on August 10, 1942 of an illness. The photo on the left at the bottom of the page is of Nadine Oaks. The photo in the center at the bottom of the page is of Roy Merrill. The photo on the right at the bottom of the page is of Dean L. Jorgensen, son of Ramania Larsen and Melvin Jorgensen. He was born in Lapoint on February 6, 1934. He died of anemia at his home in Maeser in October 1942. Dean was 8 years old.
