Description |
This property was originally part of the Andreas Hammer farm. He later gave a five acre parcel to his daughter, Ellen Charlotte Hmmer and her husband Rufus Francis Forbush. This house was built in 1899, most likely by Rufus Forbush. He and his then married Mary Elena Oblad and raised an additional family there. As was common in those days, title to the home was transferred to his wife, Mary Elena, in 1927. The original house had two rooms on the main floor, a front room and a kitchen. There was no interior plumbing and a small stairway gave access to the two bedrooms in the attic. |
