Description Photocopies of typed transcript of a log by Norman D. Nevills with details of a river trip from Mexican Hat, Utah, down the San Juan and Colorado Rivers to Lees Ferry, April 25 to May 13, 1940. The passengers included Phillp W. Tompkins, a San Francisco chemical engineer and photographer. The expedition included numerous stops for exploration hikes and photography, including a hike up from the river to Rainbow Bridge. After Lees Ferry, the Nevillses and Tompkins did some touring in Arizona, visiting Wupatki and Walnut Canyon. Two copies. Bottom line of type on some pages is missing.
