Description Ross Peterson talks about his six-year board service on the Utah Endowment for the Humanities Board (1987-1993), including as board chair. Peterson is a history professor at Utah State University (USU), and also served as president of Deep Springs College. Along with service to Utah Humanities, he talks about his involvement in National Endowment for the Humanities, and as the editor of Dialogue a Journal of Mormon thought with his wife Mary Kay Peterson. He shares his view on the importance to humanities in strengthening community, including the founding of Utah Zion Mesa (writer's residence) with support from Utah Humanities board members.
