Description Phyllis Hockett talks about her seven-year service on the Utah Humanities Board, 2016-2023, serving as board chair during the pandemic (2021-22) and serving an extra year as past president. Phyllis Hockett is a life-long humanist, with 30-year connections to Utah Humanities. She is passionate about the human condition and the humanities. As part of her time as board chair, she was tasked with completing a new strategic plan for UH. She was also integrally involved with finding a replacement executive director when Cynthia Buckingham retired, serving on the search committee.
